Hei y'all! Come va?

Pensavate che vi avessi abbandonato, eh? E invece no: eccoci qui con la nuova favolosissima TBR di luglio!

Nei prossimi giorni (speriamo) uscirà invece una nuova esplosiva recensione su un genere letterario che MAI prima d'ora era stato ospite di questo blog! Yay!

Senza perdere ulteriore tempo, parliamo delle uscite che affolleranno gli scaffali questo luglio.

01. Darkdeep. I segreti di Stillcove - Ally Condie, Brendan Reichs

02. Odio Volare - Stephen King, Bev Vincent

Curata da Stephen King insieme a Bev Vincent, suo amico e collaboratore da sempre, Odio volare è una raccolta di racconti horror che hanno un particolare filo conduttore: sono tutti ambientati ad alta quota, a bordo di un aereo. Raccontano tutto quello che di orribile può succedere quando sei sospeso in aria a diecimila metri di altezza, chiuso in una scatola di metallo (e il riferimento non è per niente casuale) che sfreccia a più di 800 chilometri l’ora, insieme a decine di sconosciuti che potrebbero fare qualunque cosa. King, che sicuramente non ama viaggiare in aereo, ha fornito il suo personale contributo al volume aggiungendovi un’introduzione, le note a ogni storia e soprattutto un racconto originale: L’esperto di turbolenze. Inoltre ha reclutato Joe Hill, che ha scritto Siete liberi, altra storia completamente inedita. Il resto del libro contiene un mix di storie nuove e storie già pubblicate, di autori famosi o meno noti, tra cui Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Richard Matheson, Ambrose Bierce, Dan Simmons, Ray Bradbury, e altri ancora. Tutti, da King a Conan Doyle, alla fine non fanno altro che esorcizzare i loro peggiori incubi, dando libero sfogo alla più sfrenata immaginazione e ammettendo quello che molti si vergognano di confessare: volare fa paura.

03. Il Sole è anche una Stella - Nicola Yoon
